Since joining Lawray in 2013, John became a driving force behind the modernisation of our operational infrastructure. he played a critical role in transforming Lawray into a unified and agile business across its three studios in Cardiff, London and Wrexham.
He pioneered our adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM), long before it became an industry standard, and ensured our systems and processes met the highest benchmarks, including ISO 9001 QA standards and Cyber Essentials certification.
Under John’s leadership, Lawray’s IT and BIM systems have not only become robust, secure, and efficient, but they’ve also empowered staff to work flexibly, seamlessly, and collaboratively.
During the COVID pandemic, John’s steadfast pragmatism and efficiency ensured the business continued to operate seamlessly at full capacity, delivering high-quality services to our clients without interruption.
John’s legacy includes mentoring and supporting staff through training, troubleshooting, and ongoing guidance, while also liaising with IT suppliers and software developers to ensure Lawray stays ahead of the curve.
From drafting BIM Execution Plans to resolving hardware challenges, his hands-on involvement and strategic insight have underpinned many successful projects, always with a focus on long-term value and benefit.
John’s departure is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the immense value he has brought to Lawray, and we wish him all the very best
