The project
As a practice, we are proud to be the incumbent architects for The Corporation of Church House for the past 30 years. The Church of England’s administrative and decision-making centre, we have been involved in several exciting projects – all carried out with the highest degree of sensitivity to comply with the site’s extensive heritage.
Integral to Westminster
Located in the heart of Westminster, this prestigious Grade II Listed building is located within sight of the Houses of Parliament and forms an integral part of the Westminster Abbey and the Dean’s Yard complex. Steeped in history, today the building continues to host the Church of England’s Synod (acting as the Church of England Parliament) as well as many public events attracting an array of distinguished guests.
Notable projects
During our time working with The Church House, notable projects have included two full refurbishments of clerical offices, an update of the Conference Centre commercial kitchens, plus an upgrade of the Great Halls and rooms with new decorative features and services. We’ve even refreshed the Conference Centre’s AV and IT technology to help it continue to compete favourably against other comparable facilities.
