The project
The renowned Phillimore Estate is one of London’s most prestigious residential areas. Lawray was commissioned to remodel and renovate a detached five-storey home of particular architectural merit within its grounds. A highly distinguished address, the estate is also a designated conservation area.
Understanding the vision
We were appointed to design an extensive remodelling scheme that would refine the building’s interior and exterior appearance to meet the family’s requirements.
To ensure we got things just so, we spent a considerable amount of time with the client before even beginning the project. This helped us to truly understand the vision for their new home and what finer details would bring the building together.
The highest of standards
Our team confidently undertook the project, which included extensive structural works, the replacement of existing staircases and the reconstruction of a large part of the exterior facade. We also added an extension to the basement, forming new spaces within the accommodation floors to help develop new interior layouts to suit the family’s needs as they grew.
The client’s vision was finished to the highest of standards with a quality interior finish that reflected every aspect of their brief.
