STeM Engineering Centre
Lawray was chosen as architects for Grwp Llandrillo Menai’s £13.6m Engineering Centre of Excellence. Canolfan Sgiliau Technoleg Menai (STeM) is the college’s largest build to date and features the highest quality engineering training equipment in Wales.
Wealth of services
Designed over three floors, the building features workshops, training suites and IT-based classrooms. A wide range of disciplines are taught, including welding, fabrication, mechanical, electrical, controls and instrumentation. The Centre also boasts bespoke training facilities for computer aided manufacturing, automation and robotics. When not hard at work, students can relax in the college’s new second-floor glazed refectory, featuring breath-taking views of the surrounding Snowdonia scenery.
