Project Overview
The Royal View Brighton remediation project marks a key milestone as the first development to progress to construction under the Government’s Cladding Safety Scheme. The scheme addresses critical fire safety concerns, ensuring the building meets current regulatory standards.
External Wall Systems Upgrades
The primary scope of works involves replacing the existing aluminium spandrel panels, which contain combustible insulation, with a fully compliant system incorporating a non-combustible mineral wool core. In addition, the existing render system is being removed and replaced with a new solution backed by non-combustible mineral wool, significantly enhancing fire performance.
Balcony & Walkway Improvements
As part of the wider fire safety strategy, existing timber decking to balconies and walkways is being removed. These areas are being upgraded with a proprietary non-combustible composite decking system, improving fire safety, durability, and delivering a more contemporary finish.
