
Shengwei Wang
Architectural Assistant
Shengwei joined Lawray as an Architectural Assistant in 2021. Before joining the practice, he worked for several London and overseas based developers and design studios where he gained valuable design and construction experience on conservation, residential and commercial projects.
He completed his master’s degree at Yokohama National University. During his master’s thesis research, he concentrated his interests in geography-based historical architectural styles development, with a focus on religious buildings in the Asia-Pacific region. His bachelor’s degree thesis study on timber components from an ancient temple was awarded the best thesis of the year in the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, where he started his architectural journey. He recently passed his RIBA Part 3 Professional Practice accreditation at the Architectural Association.
Shengwei has been working with the team preparing construction packages for OPSS & Blashford tower by utilising BIM software.
He believes that the simplicity and calmness provided by architecture and its environment is the source of energy to support people’s mental wellbeing, especially those who live a hectic modern life.
Shengwei is an outdoor lover and enjoys travelling, and he often goes cycling and camping to explore what our planet has to offer. He is also a member of National Trust, and spends his spare time making the most of it by exploring some fascinating stories behind the buildings and the landscape.
