V&A Museum

Synopsis

The Victoria and Albert Museum, European Galleries Refurbishments; 2015.

Lawray were the main contact for the building contactor’s Coniston, working on the European refurbishment. Lawray had to liaise  closely with the design architect ZMMA, the V&A team, and Coniston, to design, draft and collate the contractors proposal elements of the  construction package in line south the programme. Highly sophisticated detailing was required to meet the high specification required for the works
in the iconic building.

Lawray Architects would like to thank Eleanor Stedman for providing us with the images for this project.

Lawray has been a partner of the Corporation of the Church House for over 20 years and in that time has been heavily involved in several large refurbishment projects. The team’s knowledge and skills have proved invaluable in the areas of design, planning and project administration. When redeveloping a listed property, Lawray have ensured that they treat the architecture with sympathy whilst producing space that is effective for modern day requirements. Lawray continues to work closely with our in-house team on forthcoming projects and we would have no hesitation in recommending their work to others.
